GUINNESS CHOCOLATE BROWNIES
Guinness Chocolate Brownie or stout beer brownie is the perfect dessert for chocolate and beer lovers, sweet and sour contrast in a brownie.
GUINNESS BEER AND SAINT PATRICK’S CELEBRATION
Every March I bake my Guinness brownie with the excuse of Saint Patrick’s Day, which is celebrated on March 17 around the world, and is the day to celebrate Irish culture and gastronomy.
Guinness brownies unite the tradition of beer and the world of sweets, I still remember how surprised I was by this brownie the first time I tasted it as a dessert in an Irish brewery and at that moment I knew the Guinness brownies were going to stay in my personal recipe book.
My inspiration for baking this fudgy brownie comes from the New York Times recipe in which Guinness beer is added directly to the brownie, without reducing it before baking, adding a delicious stout beer flavor to the bitterness of the chocolate and coffee.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN GUINNESS BROWNIE AND GUINNESS CAKE
In my blog you can find a Guinness Cake less chocolatey than a brownie, baked with cocoa, the Guinness Cake’s elaboration is a little different. The first step of the recipe is reducing over a low heat the beer, the sugar and cocoa in a saucepan.
Guinness cake is fluffyer, like a sponge cake with cocoa and beer taste, on the other hand, beer brownies are dense, chocolatey and with an intense stout beer flavor.
